Bihar silk industry is over 200 years old and produces a unique variety of silk called Tussar. The uniqueness of Tussar lies in the fact that the fibre is extracted only after the worm dies a natural death inside the cocoon. The weave and the fibre is such that it makes it perfect for winter wear. There are 30,000 weavers in the region while over a 100,000 people get employed in the extraction process. Off the several weaving methods and mixes used we have on offer two different weaves and textures.
