Kaolin (Porcelain)

Kaolin or China clay as it is more commonly known is the purest form of clay that is available. It has fewer impurities than other forms of clay and is the main ingredient for making Porcelain. It is also called "High Fire Clay" because it needs higher temperatures to vitrify. The clay can become so hard and translucent at high temperatures that external glazing is often not required. China Clay along with bone ash is the main ingredient used to create "Bone China". We bring to you a whole range of hand-painted porcelain of the highest quality from Thailand.
