Eyaas is a play on the root word for the bird falcon spelt eyass. It is especially used for the female falcon trained for the art of falconery, an endangered art form in the middle-east. This name was chosen because of what it entails in terms of art form and also the bird, which is one of the fastest moving living creatures on earth.

There are two main areas of focus: 1) Crafts and hand-made goods which are endangered or lost. 2) Provide a platform or channel of consumer access for all those individuals and groups for whom hand-work is a form of income generation and livelihood.
